Working on a big design update for a Wordpress site — today I made a child theme with all the devops tools I want, and that feels like the right move.
In this case, I've duplicated the existing /theme/style.css to /childtheme/scss/_theme.scss which gets imported into a new style.scss
I put a WD Black² dual/hybrid drive into my iMac and ran into one glitch that's worth mentioning, since I didn't see anything about it on support forums or elsewhere.
If you are trying to re-format the drive on a Mac, the instructions say it has to be the only internal drive in the machine on the SATA port. So, that's one thing to watch out for.
But the other is that — in order to run the Western Digital applescript apps that set up the drive as either a Fusion drive or two separate devices, you have to unmount the disk in Disk Utility.
If you don't you will see this error:
The action "Run Shell Script" encountered an error. Check the action's properties and try running the workflow again.

I read an ebook1, highlighted it2, decided that reading app is ephemeral, ordered a "like new" paperback3, and copied over my highlights4.
Maybe even more strange: the last page of the paperback had a URL to "register my book" – which I did, thus qualifying for a $4.99 ebook.
