uproot

Belatedly, mentioning I had a fun time working with Jace Clayton (aka DJ Rupture) on a micro-site for his book, Uproot: Travels in 21st-Century Music and Digital Culture_. We made the site together over Skype and FTP, basically, flying without a net and trying not to write over each other's (hyper)text. I didn't think to ask for an ARC of the book — whoops! — so I was thrilled that I loved reading it.

working in private

Dudes who make stuff on the web, if your work is largely in private repos, do you maintain/link to a GH profile? Why/why not?

Erin's tweet got me thinking of how/why/if to show that difference. It's a very good question. Especially since not all (maybe not even half) of my projects use Github at all.
